In honor of Preservation Month, the Village of Lancaster Historic Preservation Commission, at their June meeting, recognized one Village business for its' contribution to historic preservation.
Valint’s Meats (25 Central Ave.) is recognized as a New Business Renovation within a historic context. The business is located within the Central Avenue Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally constructed as the Bank of Lancaster (ca.1920), the building’s storefront, exterior awning and interior were recently upgraded to be compatible with the building’s history and the HPC’s Design Guidelines..
Michael Meyer, Chair of the Commission, presented business owner Adam Schiller with a plaque recognizing this property at the Commission's June 12, 2024 meeting.
